Originally designed as a perfume flask, this slender vessel is one of the highlights of the Museum's Attic vase paintings. To the left a young girl performs a dance step under the watchful eye of her teacher. The artist is the leading pupil of the renowned Achilles Painter, and was credited with introducing a more lively and human spirit into his scenes.
