born 11/5/1858; died 1940; lived in Fryeburg, Maine Studied at the Boston Art Museum, National Academy of Design in New York, Julien's Art School and the Beaux Arts in Paris; spent many years abroad painting in Southern France, Italy and the Sahara Desert; he exhibited in the Paris Salon and many principal cities in the U.S.
