Object Description

Per David P. Becker (January 2010):
From Hollar’s Dance of Death series, after a woodcut as part of the set by Hans Holbein the Younger first published in 1538. Plate is printed within an etched border on another plate; Hollar made three of these after the designs of Abraham van Diepenbeck (Pennington 233A-C), used variously within the complete set.
