Object Description

Per David P. Becker 3/19/2010:
This print is one of “Six Large Views,” four of which are in Rome and two in the surrounding countryside. The young Cosimo III de’ Medici is shown drawing the so-called Medici vase. There is a drawing study for the print in Windsor Castle (#4649).
