Zanetti was conservator of the museum of antiquities at Ferrara and a writer on coins. His major work was Nuova raccolta delle monete e zecche d' Italia, Bologna 1775-89, five volumes. This and the following two medals are quite similarly treated and must be from the same series. All three are described in Giovanni Fantuzzi, Notizie degli scrittori bolognesi, Bologna 1790; however, the medalist remains unknown. For Zanetti, see Fantuzzi 9, 1794, p.197 ff.
