Object Description

From donor's inventory:
Portfolio un-bound
loose drawings, various sizes
3 small ink studies for 1909 book (each signed and dated separately)
1 matted portrait inscribed: Miss Bitter / Harpist in “Fashion” / Pach
Approximately 90 drawings by Magda Pach, 10 by Walter Pach*

* ? Examination suggests more may be by WP than by MP.

About 115 loose drawings on various sized sheets, mostly pencil studies, some recto-verso; drawings are by Magda Pach and Walter Pach. 3 small ink studies for 1909 book (each signed by Walter Pach, and dated separately) and a matted portrait inscribed: Miss Bitter / Harpist in “Fashion” / Pach. There are also two monotypes, matted, in the group: "Sleeping Boy" and "Still Life / Fruit Bowl," both dated 1918, signed, and inscribed for Nikifora. One drawing is sketched on the back of a typewritten page that appears to be from one of WP's manuscripts.

A few pencil sketches have been taped into window mats. Subjects are figure studies, sculpture, portraiture, landscapes, Ntre Dame, Paris, studies for paintings, still life, and copies of classical works. A portrait of "Raymond Pach at 9 months" is dated 1915.
