Object Description

Largest Black Portfolio Box
Contains within the box two items:
1. Large folio labeled “Chicago” containing 100 loose sheets of drawings, mostly figure studies
2. Large back folio containing [5] charcoal drawings, all studies for the City College Mural 1934-35


About 159 charcoal and pencil drawings on paper, many drawn recto-verso. Mostly nudes and portraits, by both Walter Pach and Magda Pach. Small sketches measure about 17 x 14", and larger sheets are 25 x 19". WIthin the group is a large folio within loose cardboard covers labeled "Chicago," containing 150 drawings on about 100 sheets; and a flat portfolio containing 9 charcoal studies (many recto-verso) for the City College Mural, ca. 1934-1935.
