Object Description

Total of 34 prints depicting The Shelton Hotel in New York City, at Lexington Avenue and 48th-49th St. A skyscraper built in the Romanesque Revival style, the hotel opened in 1923. View shows smaller buildings with water towers in background, street in foreground.

All copies are the same plate size. 22 loose prints from edition of 50, all signed, numbered, and dated; some have title below plate on print or on mat. One trial proof. Ten unnumbered copies, 4 of which are matted. One matted copy from edition of 25 (9/25) has additional inscription at LR, For Nikifora / Walter Pach / 307.
