Object Description

Total of 6 unnumbered prints and one trial proof early state, all of the same plate size, depicting lower Manhattan from Governor's Island in New York Harbor. The mass of buildings is foregrounded by a park, and harbor waters with three vessels moving close to Manhattan.

All are signed and dated within print LL, Pach 1920, and signed and dated in pencil below image, Walter Pach 1920 or Pach 1920. The trial proof early state is taped into a small mat and appears to have been printed on both sides of the paper. It is inscribed trial, early state / Pach imp. at LL, and Walter Pach / New York from Governor's Island at LR. Four of the prints are matted (including the trial proof).
