Object Description

Total of 4 prints, all of the same plate size, plus one preliminary drawing / sketch. All depict The Metropolitan Tower (The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower) in New York City, a skyscraper at at Madison Ave between 23rd and 24th Sreets, completed in 1909. In foreground, several shorter buildings, water towers, and rooftops.

All prints are signed and dated within print LR, Pach 1924, and also signed in pencil beneath the print, Walter Pach 1924 or Pach 1924. None is numbered.The drawing is signed LL, Walter Pach. It clearly depicts the same general scene, but is reversed and different from the finished print.
