Object Description

Large Black folio
126 drawings (pencil, charcoal and pen and ink)
All by Magda Pach
Mostly nude female figures, some flower studies

BCMA expanded description: Almost all of these 205 drawings (most sketched recto-verso) appear to be by Magda Pach. Subjects include female and male figure studies, with several Black models; portraits; still life and florals. One portrait of Walter Pach inscribed "To Mr. Pach / V. Gecam 1926"(? not clear) . Two pieces are inscribed "W.P. about 1926," although these appear to be in Magda Pach's style. Several sketches are signed Pach; one is inscribed "Memory." One sketch is inscribed 64 W. 84, presumably an address in NYC
One piece entitled "Figure" is signed LR Walter Pach / 211 for Nikifora, Walter Pach; verso side is a watercolor portrait that has been cross-hatched out. There is an accompanying record card from the Metropolitan Museum of Art 1952 exhibition of American Water Colors, Drawings and Prints.
