The connection between circular compositions and movement was not lost on the artist who designed the mold for this lamp. A bear, its hind feet firmly planted on the rim of the lamp’s circular disk, charges after an acrobat who keeps just ahead of the beast with his elegant flip. One can imagine turning the lamp by hand and seeing the pursuit in motion.
