In the meantime I found the watercolor "Man in a Doorway" n.d. on the BCMA website.
It looks to be from the 1920s, and possibly Ireland, given its handling, palette, and ambition. Clues to its location are the clothing and the doors (two of them possibly) to the structure depicted. I would think Christy might have much to say about these clues.
You might want to advance the description of this watercolor from "n.d." to "c. 1926". I do not think this is a Greenland watercolor (later) based on the clothing of the man.
