The collections of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art range from the cultures of the ancient Mediterranean world to artwork created in the first years of the 21st century. A small selection from the 18,500 objects in the collection is featured in this section of the website. The various collections including Decorative Arts, Paintings, Sculpture, and Works on Paper are among the most comprehensive of any college museum in the country. The collections continue to grow through purchase, gift, and bequest.
