Object Description

Per David P. Becker (March 2010):
For all: A complete set of this publication, probably issued as a loose portfolio, though copies are found in contemporary bindings. A photocopy of the title page, subscriber’s list, “Conditions of Publication” and “Advertisement” laid into the folder. Barker stated in his “Conditons” that “no more than Two Hundred Copies shall be printed,” though it is unlikely that that many were; there is one estimate of about 117 copies. Barker’s series of “Landscape Scenery” was printed in only 50 copies. Twyman’s article has a great deal of information, including a full list of the plates.
