389 Series: TWENTY-FOUR SCENES FROM OVID'S METAMORPHOSES
W. VERTUMNUS AND POMONA (Met. 14, 654-80)
At the left, Vertumnus in the guise of an old woman, with a belted gown and covered head, holds a cane in his right hand and hands a flower to Pomona with the other. Pomona sits with bared breasts on a grassy bank, flowers in her left hand. Between them lies a dog; at the right, a trellis; in the background, trees and a mountain range.

Bronze, gilt, 71 x 127 mm.
