393 THE REPENTANT MAGDALENE
The weeping Magdalene kneels in front of a table on which are books, a crucifix, a skull, a rosary and a jug, drying her eyes with a cloth. Over her, sunbeams break through the clouds. She is barefoot, wearing a full robe, a richly embroidered cape and a veil. Under the table, an open coffer with two necklaces; right, a decorated curtain.

Bronze, gilt, oval, 118 x 96 mm.

As indicated by the groove around the edge of the plaquette, it was intended as a decorative applique.
