verso is allegorical figure of death and a seated woman (surrounded by symbols of architecture )1840 in Roman numerals

Observe features a profile portrait of a man facing to the right. Text running vertically flanks the portrait on left: "NÉ A PARIS LE 22 A•T 1764"; on right: "MORT LE 5 SEPT• BRE 1838". Signed "DOMARD F." below.
Verso features allegorical figure seated on a globe with symbols of architecture /1840 in Roman numerals below. Cast inscription to left of figure reads: "A / CHARLES PERCIER/ ARCHITECTE, / MEMBRE DE L'INSTITUT, /SES ÉLÈVES, SES AMIS / ET LES ADMIRATEURS / DE SON GRAND TALENT / ET DE SON NOBLE/ CARACTERE."
