Rev. Crowned personification of Spain with columns and stemma at right holds infant being blessed by pope. Baptismal font surmounted by figure of Purity at left. Around, DEVS . NOVA . FAEDERA . SANCIT; in exergue, HISPAN . INFANS . A . S . | FONTE . SVSCEPTVS | 1772
Bronze, struck, 37 mm.

Commemorates the baptism of the Infante of Spain, Carlo Clemente. The fact that this event would be represented on the pope's Annual Medal indicates how important good relations with Spain were to the papacy.
