Object Description

391A THE GATHERING OF THE MANNA
In the center, Moses, horned, in a robe and cape, points with his left hand to the heavens, from which the manna rains, and with his right to the manna on the ground. To the left kneels a bearded man; to the right a woman gathers manna into her apron, a child behind her. Another child with a staff runs to the left in the background.

Bronze, oval, concave, 37 x 40 mm.

On the basis of the left-handed orientation of the figures, the composition is without doubt a reversed version of an engraving or another relief.
