Object Description

364 ASSUMPTION OF THE VIRGIN MARY
The Virgin Mary on a half moon, above her head two angels holding a crown. Mary is draped in a long cloak with hands crossed at her chest and supported by four angels. Elaborate frame with rondel above with head of Christ, candelabra, columns at the sides, rosettes, volutes, and a putto head below.

Bronze, traces of gilt, 173 x 115 mm. The frame is damaged at top.
