Jacopo da Trezzo Nizolla

(Milan, ca. 1515-1519 - 1589)

Jacopo Nizolla was born in Milan, first distinguished himself as a gem engraver, and worked for Cosimo III de'Medici. He entered the service of Philip II of Spain in 1550, and worked for him as sculptor, architect, gem engraver and medalist both in Spain and the Netherlands.
