Ermenegildo Hamerani
(1683 - 1756)
Roman medalist. With his brother Ottone he succeeded their father Giovanni as engraver to the papal mint in 1705. Beginning in 1734 he and Ottone held a monopoly of coinage for the states of the Church. Ermenegildo worked also for the King of Sardinia and at the imperial mint at Palermo.
