Pietro Girometti

(1811 - 1859)

Medalist and gem engraver, the son of Giuseppe, he worked with Niccolo Cerbara on his series of medals of famous Italians. Member of the Florentine Academy in 1835, and director general of the mint at Rome from 1849.
