Georg Wilhelm Vestner

(1677 - 1740)

Vestner learned die engraving from the medalist Suhl. He worked in Chur, Berlin, and Weimar before moving to Nuremberg in 1705. In 1720 he became engraver to the Episcopal See of Wuerzburg, in 1732 court medalist to the elector of Bavaria. He was assisted by his son from 1726.
