Norbert Roettiers
Norbert Roettiers
(1666 - 1727)
The son of Jean Roettiers, Norbert was apprenticed to his father and worked at the London mint from 1684-95, becoming assistant engraver in 1690. He later went to France where he was given a position at the mint through his uncle Joseph Roettiers, whom he succeeded as engraver general in 1703.
