Peter Paul Werner

(Nuremburg, 1689 - 1771)

Born in Nuremberg, Werner's medallic activity dates from 1711. He replaced Philip Heinrich Mueller as court medalist to Carl Albert of Bavaria in 1718, and later executed medals for German princes, cities and individuals. See Forrer 6, pp. 453-55; M.
