Giovanni Battista Lapi
Giovanni Battista Lapi
(Rome, d. 1772)
Born in Rome, Giovanni Lapi was a painter, engraver, architect, sculptor, goldsmith, medalist and gem engraver. He went to Livorno in 1732, where he practiced painting, sculpture and architecture until his death. He was also noted in Florence in 1732, where he was a student of C. Gregori at the academy, and again in 1736.
