17th century French artist
(1622 - 1700)

A French medalist, son of Augustin Aury, who was probably briefly in Holland in 1672. He later executed in France a number of medals of Louis XIV, one of which he signed with Bertinet in 1673. See Alvin in Thieme-Becker 2, p. 258; Forrer i, p. 91; 7, p. 34; Babelon in Michel 7, p. 410.
