(New York City, New York, 6/30/1944 - )

b. 6/30/1944 Sternfeld established himself, in 1966, as a freelance landscape, industrial, architectural and portrait photographer in New York City. Since 1970, Sternfeld has worked in colour. In 1979, Sternfeld photographed landscapes in Arizona. In 1989, he was awarded the Prix de Rome, allowing him to photograph the Roman Campagna for one year.
