Carducius Plantagenet Ream (Cadorsus, Carducis, or Cardurcis)

Carducius Plantagenet Ream

19th-20th century American painter
(Sugar Grove (near Lancaster), Ohio, 5/8/1838 - 6/20/1917, Chicago, Illinois)

Per Diana Tuite 1/4/08.."There is a work by an artist whose name has a number of spelling variants according to “Who’s Who in American Art” and the scholarly text it cites, Art Across America (vol 2:294-5) by William Gerdts. Gerdts notes the variants on the first name as: Cadorsus, Carducis, Cardurcis, and Carducius (this last one is the name they use for their entry). A quick google reveals the lack of consensus on the issue." The Getty goes with: Carducius
