Anne Minich

Anne Minich (born 1934, Philadelphia) is an American artist who is known for her drawings on paper, carved sculptures, and three-dimensional paintings that incorporate text and/or found objects. Much of her work focuses on her facisnation with the human body--particularly sexuality, eroticism, gender, and femininity--as well as her relationships with friends, family, lovers, and artistic inspirations. Minich studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia (1954–1955) and the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida (1969–1971). Her work has been featured in two dozen solo installations and over 70 group shows. Institutions such as the Williams College Museum of Art, the Bates College Museum of Art, the Addison Gallery, the Fondazione Santarelli, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Woodmeere Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art, among others, have MInich's work in their collection.
