Wright Morris

photographer, author and professor
(Central City, Nebraska, 1910 - 1998)

Note: From 1933 to 1934, Morris travelled in Europe. He began photography in Vienna, Austria. In 1938, he moved from California to Middlebury, Connecticut, where he began photographing Cape Cod, Massachusetts and New England. In 1939, he began combining his writing and his photographs and from 1940-1941, travelled and photographed in the Southern, Midwestern, and Southwestern United States. In 1942, he photographed in Nebraska. Around 1970, Morris photographed in Venice, Italy.
