Neurologist, naturalist, historian of science, and author; he was the writer for The Island of Rota, which unites the work of the photographer Abelardo Morell, the designer Ted Muehling, and Oliver Sacks in a limited-edition publication that considers the unique natural history of a particular island in Micronesia. The most recent in a series of artist’s books produced by the Library Council of The Museum of Modern Art. Sacks' text is part of his The Island of the Colorblind.
