Richmond K. Fletcher

(Lowell, MA, 1885 - 1965)

Richmond K. Fletcher was a successful Boston-area commercial artist who was active during the first half of the twentieth century. He advertised his paintings as an alternative for the busy business executive who lacked time to sit for a portrait. Fletcher believed one could paint a portrait through the use of photographs that was a truer representative of a subject that one taken from life.
