Thomas Simon

(Yorkshire, 1618 - 1665)

Thomas Simon (1618-1665) was the chief engraver of the Royal Mint from 1649-1660 during the Commonwealth government. Upon Charles II's reclamation of the throne, Thomas Simon saw a demotion but continued working at the Royal Mint until his death
