Sergio Urday (born Lima, Peru 1968) is a Peruvian photojournalist. He began his career in 1989 at Caretas magazine and later worked as a photojournalist at El Comercio. From 1995–2003, he served as photography editor of this newspaper. He has taught photojournalism at the University of Lima (1997–2001; 2004–2009) and the Peruvian Univeristy of Applied Sciences (2003–2008). He has received several awards for his photography, including the "King of Spain" photography prize organized by the Government of Spain and EFE news agency and "Passport for an Artist" visual arts award organized by the French government. He is currently a freelance photography who splits his time between Italy and Peru.
