Bronze, struck, 45 mm.

Count Giacomo Carrara in his will of 3 March 1796 bequeathed to the city of Bergamo his entire art collection and a school of design. These are housed in a building designed by Simone Elia and completed in 1810. (G. Frizzoni, Le gallerie dell' Accademia Carrara in Bergamo, Bergamo 1907, p. 13).
