Mazzucchelli was a celebrated scholar whose home in Brescia was used as a private museum and academy, containing manuscripts, books, and collections, especially of portrait medals. The medals were published by P. A. Gaetani (see MM. in the bibliography), and are now in the Musei Civici, Brescia.
